Abstract Mapping
Abstract mapping called for stripping away any preconceived ideas of the area and extracting the acting urban forces that give shape to the High Streets and their surrounding veins/arteries. Understanding the urban syntax discovered during the mapping process formed the basis for the form and function and the final project, which aims to act as a subtle urban intervention. The overarching concept that links the two is the distilling of self.
